2 Day Photography Workshop with Tory D Photography - Dubai 29-30th May 2020

Come and join two of the world’s leading family photographers; Russ Jackson and Tory Dimitriadis and learn all there is to know about newborn photography and photographing older babies.
Spread over two days this workshop will fill you with confidence to be more efficient in your sessions, work more comfortably with older and awake newborns and teach you how to refine your posing and lighting skills to capture perfect images of your little clients.
The first day will be dedicated entirely to newborn photography. Russ will be demonstrating his beanbag posing workflow and how to maximise each pose to build a beautiful and diverse gallery of images. Tory will be teaching his amazing wrapping skills, how he styles his sessions, and how he photographs newborn babies safely in props (including digital backdrops).
Russ will be using studio flash during this lesson and Tory will show you how he uses natural light to his best advantage.
On the second day, Russ will demonstrate advanced parent posing, how he brings emotion into his images and how he uses studio lights to create stunning and emotive light. Tory will be photographing an older baby which will also include a discussion on how he markets these sessions to his newborn clients, nurturing a ‘client for life’ relationship that ensures he runs a successful photography business.
In the afternoon both Russ and Tory will go through their editing process and there will be time to cover any business-related questions such as pricing and marketing.
This workshop is intensive but designed for photographers of all levels. Bring your camera along as you will be photographing alongside Russ and Tory.
By the end of this workshop, you will not just gain new knowledge and confidence to create stunning images but also a proven workflow that works with all newborn sessions. You will also learn some valuable tips on how to turn your business into a sustainable and profitable career.

WHO CAN ATTEND:
Any photographer who has an interest in improving their newborn and family photography or looking at starting a career in newborn photography. You will need to possess a thorough understanding of achieving good exposure (aperture, shutter speed and iso) and using your camera in manual mode.
DAY ONE

10 am: Russ Jackson – Beanbag Posing – Maximise the pose with the best camera angles
1 pm: Lunch
1:30 pm: Tory D Photography – Styling your session, wrapping, and posing safely in props
4:30: Tea Break
4:45 pm: Recap and questions.
5:30: Day ends
DAY TWO
9 am Tea and coffee on arrival
9:30 am: Russ Jackson - Advanced Parent Posing – capturing emotion.
12:30 pm: Lunch
1 pm: Tory D Photography – Live sitter session - Integrating sitter sessions into your newborn photography business.
2 pm: Post-production editing with Russ and Tory.
3:30 pm: Tea Break
4 pm: Marketing and sales discussion.
5:30: Day ends
CLASS FEE:
£1200 (Pound Sterling)
A £400 deposit to secure your place, the balance of £800 will be invoiced six weeks before the workshop.

WHAT TO BRING:
All you need to bring is your DSLR camera and an appropriate lens. A 50mm or equivalent is best, but a 35 mm lens is also very handy. If you have a zoom, make sure it covers the 35mm - 70mm focal length range and that it can stop down to f2.8. Also, bring a notepad to take notes, and you are welcome to take videos on your phone or iPad.
