NEWBORN MODEL CALL
We are looking for two newborn babies, ideally 7–21 days old, to take part in an in person newborn photography workshop on Thursday 17th September 2026 in North London.
During the workshop, Russ will be teaching a small group of photographers how to safely pose, settle, light and photograph newborn babies. Parent and baby photographs will also be included, so Mum and/or Dad will have the opportunity to be photographed with their baby too.
Your baby’s comfort, safety and wellbeing will always come first, and you’ll remain with your baby throughout the entire experience.
As a thank you for your time, you’ll receive:
👉 A complimentary professional newborn photography session during the workshop.
👉 Your choice of five professionally edited, high resolution digital images from your gallery, including photographs of your baby and the opportunity to choose images with parents too.
There is absolutely no cost to take part and no obligation to purchase anything afterwards.

What's Involved?
The workshop is an educational day for photographers learning the art of newborn photography with professional newborn photographer and educator Russ Jackson.
During your session, Russ will demonstrate techniques for safely posing, settling, lighting and photographing newborn babies, as well as creating beautiful parent and baby portraits.
Russ will be the only person handling and posing your baby throughout the workshop. The attending photographers will be there to learn, observe and photograph the setups Russ creates. They will not be handling or posing your baby.
You will remain with your baby throughout the entire session, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed. Nothing is rushed or forced, and your baby’s comfort, safety and wellbeing will always come first.

Is there really no cost?
No. Taking part is completely complimentary. As a thank you for your time, you’ll receive a private gallery from the workshop and can choose five professionally edited, high-resolution digital images to keep. There is no obligation to purchase anything afterwards.
Will I stay with my baby?
Absolutely. You’ll remain with your baby throughout the entire experience, and their comfort, safety and wellbeing will always come first.
Who will be handling and posing my baby?
Russ will be the only person handling and posing your baby throughout the workshop. The attending photographers will observe Russ and photograph the setups he creates, but they will not handle or pose your baby.
How will the photographs be used?
As this is an educational photography workshop, Russ and the attending photographers may wish to use the photographs they take for their professional portfolios, websites and social media platforms.
Your privacy is important to us. Neither you nor your baby will be named or tagged if any photographs are shared.
As part of the workshop, you will be asked to sign a model release form before the session, giving permission for the photographs to be used in this way.
Will parents be photographed too?
Yes. Parent-and-baby portraits are included in the workshop, so Mum and/or Dad will have the opportunity to be photographed with their baby.
How long will the session take?
What happens after I apply?
Russ will personally review each application and contact the families selected for the workshop with full details as soon as possible.
